Burst Limit Details & Manual Input

Bonus Duration (Formula):

8 seconds

Bonus Duration (Formula) =
Burst Threshold × Burst Time
Burst Limit

Parameter & Metrics Explanation:

Limit-At (Mbps): The guaranteed normal speed limit for the queue. If usage is below this, burst credit can accumulate.

Max-Limit (Mbps):The absolute highest speed the queue can reach, even with active burst.

Burst-Limit (Mbps): The maximum speed the queue can reach during an active burst period, as long as there is burst credit and the burst duration has not expired. This value can be higher than Max-Limit for temporary spikes.

Burst-Threshold (Mbps): The usage threshold. If usage exceeds this value and burst credit is available, burst will activate.

Burst Time (seconds): The maximum duration (in seconds) a burst can remain active once triggered, regardless of remaining burst credit.

Burst Credit (Mbps*seconds): The amount of "extra capacity" the queue has accumulated. This is the "fuel" for bursting. Credit accumulates when usage is below Limit-At and is consumed when usage is above Limit-At during an active burst.

Bonus Duration (Current): An estimate of how long (in seconds) the queue can maintain usage at Burst-Limit (above Limit-At) with the currently available burst credit.

Bonus Duration (Formula): The theoretical bonus duration based on the formula: (Burst Threshold * Burst Time) / Burst Limit. This is a fixed value calculated from the configuration parameters.
